Privacy Statement
TeamDating.com ("we" or "TeamDating.com") have created this privacy policy to
demonstrate our firm commitment to helping users better understand what
information we collect about them and what may happen to that information. This
privacy policy only applies to transactions and activities in which you engage,
and data gathered, on the TeamDating.com Website but does not apply to any
other Website or offline point of contact between TeamDating.com, or any other
company, and consumers. Please review this privacy policy periodically as we
may modify it from time to time. This privacy policy was last revised on
February 20, 2006. Each time you visit the Site or provide us with information,
by doing so you are accepting the practices described in this privacy policy at
that time.

About TeamDating.com
TeamDating.com is a website created for you to meet people the way you meet
people in your normal lives…with your friends! That’s it, plain and simple.
TeamDating.com members create their own unique profile and combine it with up
to 3 of their friends’ profiles to create a “Team”. As a Team they may contact
other Teams through our system. TeamDating.com is a FREE membership-based
service. TeamDating.com does not collect any credit card, address, or bank
information from those who choose to join its Site(s). All visitors to these
Site(s) may browse the Site(s), search the ads and view any articles or
features on the Site(s) without entering any personal information other than
your name and e-mail address if you choose to create a free profile. Your use
of the site’s applications will be limited until you and your Team become fully
activated members of the site.
Children
TeamDating.com is a site only for those 18 years of age and up. No minors
(under the age of 18) are permitted to use this site. If you are a minor, you
can only use this service in conjunction with your parents or guardians. We ask
that no minors submit any personal information to us.
Information We Collect From You
In order to operate the Site and to provide you with information about products
or services that may be of interest to you, we may collect "personal
information" (i.e. information that could be used to contact you directly
(without using the Site) such as full name, Team name, or your and your Team
members email addresses), "demographic information" (i.e. information that you
submit, or that we collect, that is not personal information; this may include,
but is not limited to, zip code, postal code, hometown, gender, username,
age/birth date, browsing history information, searching history information,
registration history information, and the content of communications between you
and other members over the Site), subject to the rest of this paragraph.
Demographic information is divided into two categories: 1) "non-public
information", which consists of history information and one-on-one
communications between you and other users of the Site; and 2) "public
information", which consists of all other demographic information. We ask that
you do not enter vital personal information or private financial information
into your “Profile” (for example, don’t put your telephone number of direct
email address into your individual profile section), because if you do then it
may be posted publicly on the Site, and the information will then be treated as
"demographic information" that is "public information." Please note that
nowhere on the Site do we knowingly collect personal information from children
under the age of 18, as we require that all users represent to us that they are
at least 18 years old.
How we use your personal information
Information TeamDating.com Members submit to TeamDating.com
Public: Public information supplied by TeamDating.com Members is intended to be
viewed by visitors to the site. This information is used by visitors for
searching and Team matching purposes. Public information cannot be used to
identify a specific member by name, address, etc. Contact with other members
through TeamDating.com is limited to Team-to-Team communication and not
individuals. We route all email and quick hello notifications to all Team
members that have been designated to receive these notifications.
TeamDating.com Partners/Third Parties: If you register with TeamDating.com
through one of its co-branded Partner sites, your registration information
(last name, first name, e-mail address, city, state, country, date of birth,
gender) may be shared with the co-branding partner solely for the purpose of
fulfilling the services provided by Partner Site and any related promotional
offers. TeamDating.com encourages you to review the privacy policy of the
co-branded partner for questions about their use of your personally
identifiable information and how you can modify or delete it. Information
submitted to Partners is used for establishing and maintaining a business
relationship. Any third party with whom we are allowed to share your personal
information is authorized to use your personal information in accordance with
our contractual arrangements with such third parties and in accordance with
their own privacy policies over which we have no control, and you agree that we
are not responsible or liable for any of their actions or omissions. Those who
contact you will need to be instructed directly by your regarding your
preferences for the use or your personal information by them.
Surveys & Contests: Contact and other information collected for contests
will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information
collected will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and
satisfaction of this site.
No Liability for Acts of Third Parties/Partners: Computers, computer networks
and transmission made via the Internet/computer networks are not absolutely
secure. TeamDating.com will not be liable for damages arising from disclosure
of information and/or registration data arising from: A) subscribers’
disclosure of such information in public areas; B) errors in transmission; C)
unauthorized acts, intrusions or interceptions; and D) compliance with this
Privacy Policy.
"Remove Me" option: TeamDating.com users are given the opportunity to "Remove
Me" from of having information used for purposes not directly related to our
site at the point where we ask for the information. Users who no longer wish to
receive TeamDating.com e-mailers or promotional materials from TeamDating.com’s
partners may removed from receiving these communications by following the
instructions contained in the email for “Remove Me” or by logging-in and
changing their email options in the “My Info” section of the site.
Ownership of Information: All information collected, including Registration
Data, is the property of TeamDating.com, and is subject to and protected by
state and federal law.
Cookies
Like most Websites, the TeamDating.com site uses cookies to keep track of your
purchases and other activity on the Site and enhance your experience on the
Site. We also use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests, to
save your password, and if you choose, to save other personal information so
you do not have to reenter it each time you visit the Site. Third party
advertisers (if present) on the Site may also place or read cookies on your
browser. If you wish to disable these cookies, the "help" portion of the
toolbar on most browsers will tell you how. However, if you set your browser to
disable cookies, you may not be able to access certain areas on the Site.
Security
TeamDating.com uses industry standard practices to safeguard the
confidentiality of your personal identifiable information, including
"firewalls" and Secure Socket Layers. TeamDating.com treats data as an asset
that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. We employ many
different security techniques to protect such data from unauthorized access by
members inside and outside the company. However, "perfect security" does not
exist on the Internet.
Updates and Changes To The Privacy Policy
TeamDating.com may change or Update this Privacy Policy from time to time based
on your comments and our need to accurately reflect our data collection and
disclosure practices. Any changes or updates will be effective immediately upon
posting to the TeamDating.com website.
Correction, Updating or Removing Member Information
TeamDating.com provides its members with the option to update all personal
information. However changes to your personal profile and Team profile
(Pictures, verbiage etc.) will not be reflected until they have been reviewed
and approved by our staff. Until that time your previous profile will still be
active and visible to the public. Once your changes have been approved your
profile will be updated. You may change your e-mail address, passwords and
other information within the “My Info” section of the site. Remember, you are
responsible for all actions taken with your login information and password.
Therefore we do not recommend that you disclose your TeamDating.com password or
login information to any third parties including your Team members. If you
choose to share this information with any third parties you are responsible for
all actions taken with your login information and password. If you lose control
of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personally
identifiable information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on
your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised in any way and
for any reason, you should IMMEDIATELY change your password in the My Settings
selection of “My Info” page.
